Use Knowledger

Introduction

Knowledger lets you share confidential work - a deck, a document, an idea - with gated access protection built in, so you can share more confidently and progress faster.

Here's everything you need to know to get started.

  1. Create your account

  • Sign up at app.useknowledger.com. No card required.

  • You get one free test send to your own email so you can see exactly what your receiver will experience.

  1. Send a test invite to yourself

  • Before sending to anyone else, send a test to your own email.

  • Go through the full receiver flow - complete the PKD, sign the NDA, access the shared file.

  • This takes two minutes and shows you exactly what your receivers will see.

  • You will receive notification / confirmation emails as the sharer, and invite / confirmation emails as the receiver. When you invite an external party, you won't get the receiver invite / confirmation emails.

  1. Set up your first real invite

When you're ready to share with someone, create a new invite. You'll need:

  • Their name and email

  • What gates to include — PKD, NDA, or both

  • A link to whatever you're sharing — a Google Drive doc, a Notion page, a deck

  • A brief note on why you're sharing with them

What is a PKD?

A Prior Knowledge Declaration is a short form your receiver completes before seeing anything. They declare any relevant prior knowledge or ideas they already have in your subject area. Their response is encrypted and sealed immediately - neither you nor Knowledger can read it unless you both agree to unseal it. It's timestamped proof of what they knew before your conversation.

What is the NDA?

Knowledger uses the NVCA standard mutual non-disclosure agreement - a widely recognised legal template used across the startup and VC world. Both parties sign electronically. A signed PDF copy is automatically emailed to both of you.

What your receiver experiences

Your receiver gets an invite link email from Knowledger. They click the link, see your context note and subject area, complete the PKD and/or NDA, and then get access to whatever you've shared. The whole process takes under two minutes.

They don't need a Knowledger account.

Your dashboard

If you ever need to see what your receiver declared - for example in a dispute - either party can request an unseal. Both parties must agree before the record is opened. When unsealed, a full PDF report is generated with the complete audit trail and emailed to both parties.

Unsealing a record

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" and, if significant, by providing additional notice.

Your subscription

Active plan at $9/month gives you unlimited invites, PKD and NDA on every invite, and sealed records maintained for as long as your subscription is active.

If you stop actively sharing, downgrade to Vault at $3/month to keep your records secure without paying for full access. If you no longer require your records to be kept you can cancel at anytime.
